 INDEPENDENT LIVING

      Fellowship Manor is for residents 55 years of age or older who are able to maintain and provide for themselves. The Manor has three floors of 1 & 2 Bedroom apartments facing the river and harbor, all equipped with Nurse's Call Systems and security systems.

     Getting around is easy at The Manor with services such as transportation, recreational activities, one-meal-a-day in the beautiful dining room, and limited housekeeping.

     Fellowship Manor is located high on a river bank in the Upper Harbor area of the Thames River in Groton, Connecticut.  Fellowship Manor faces the west overlooking a river busy with boating activity.  At night the city lights of  New London are clearly visible from Fellowship Manor.

     Fellowship Manor is part of the 70 acre site originally acquired in 1892 by the Odd Fellows and is wholly owned and operated by the Odd Fellows Home of  Connecticut, Inc.  Fellowship Manor is located adjacent to Fairview Nursing Home.

     Fellowship Manor is designed as an independent living community for individuals 55 or older.  It allows you to maintain your present living style but with added conveniences.  It will be occupied by those who are able to maintain and provide for themselves.  Fellowship Manor offers emergency nursing services, transportation, monthly outings, one meal a day in our beautiful dining room and limited housekeeping at an additional cost.  The building contains twenty modern living units, all with views of the river.

     Some of the features of the living units are:

• Emergency call system

• Wall to wall carpeting

• Heat and air conditioning (thermostatically controlled in each unit)

• Refrigerator, electric stove with hood, dishwasher and garbage disposal

• Exhaust fans in bathroom

• Telephone outlets – one telephone jack in each bedroom and living room (telephone not included)

• Cable TV outlets in each bedroom and living room

• Smoke detectors

     Some of the building amenities are:

• Free use of washers and dryers on each floor

• Terrace outside dining room overlooking river

Fellowship Manor monthly rental charges effective April 1, 2007:

The monthly rental charge includes heat, electricity, trash removal, free parking, free use of washers and dryers and master TV.
